Job Description:
The business analyst role described in the document is focused on gathering and documenting system requirements for various projects under development within the Maryland Judiciary. Specifically, they are looking for the following:
Key Responsibilities:
- Documenting systems and business processes: The analyst will interview users to determine functional requirements, document systems, and work on enhancement projects.
- Testing: The role involves developing test plans, performing system testing, coordinating user acceptance testing, and resolving issues.
- Collaboration: Work closely with Judiciary personnel, technical leads, developers, and other stakeholders to refine project technical requirements.
- Methodology Development: Assist in refining existing systems development life cycle methodologies and project management office (PMO) standards.
- Data Analysis: Perform data analysis and develop database inquiries as needed.
Qualifications
- Mandatory: A Project Management Professional (PMP) certification and a master’s degree in information systems.
- Preferred: Experience with courts or a legal background, 10 years of experience in IT, familiarity with UML, data modeling, XML, SOAP protocols, and integration tools. Additionally, knowledge of the Odyssey Case Management System is an asset.
The role requires strong communication skills and the ability to establish effective relationships within the Judiciary’s IT organization
