Project Description (include Deliverables and Timelines for services to be provided):
Under guidance of the Client, this position performs advanced application architecture work for various systems Modernization project. The architect: recommends and maintains data management policy; provides expert technical leadership to the applications development and technical staff. Can do data modeling, data fixes, performance tuning, analysis of query and indexes, analysis of data structure and data definition, for the Client system for both Oracle and DB2 databases. Has knowledge of SQL server and Cloud SQL.
Well qualified candidates will have very strong HANDS-ON DBA experience with large application systems, i.e. 1000+ programs, 300+ tables, and 8+ years in DB2/CICS/Oracle environments or equivalent. Also experience with large system, or equivalent, using Platinum, ERWin, Omegamon, ChangeMan, CNTL-M or like tools; and significant IT related knowledge.
