Must-Have Technical Skills
 Experience with projects in large-scale environments
 Strong to Expert experience in Spectrum Protect/TSM no earlier than version 7. Preference for experience protecting multi-petabyte enterprises.
 Strong experience managing back-end storage (Disk Pools, Object Storage, VTL, and/or Tape Libraries) for Spectrum Protect

Preferred Additional Technical Skills and Attributes
 Strong experience with other modern and legacy data protection solutions (i.e., Rubrik, Cohesity, Commvault, Actifio, etc.). in a large multi-petabyte distributed environment.
 Protection of on-prem and cloud-based data.
 Engineering automation, implementation, and deployment
 Automation enhancement
 Infrastructure builds
 Good understanding of physical tape libraries and experience with security key managers.

Desirable skills and attributes include:
 Administration of fileservice platforms (NAS)
 SAN logical administration (zoning, etc.)
 IBM Spectrum Protect (Formerly Tivoli Storage Manager)
 IBM block storage systems management, including Storwize/Spectrum Virtualize, Flash System A9000, Flash system 9100/9200
 IBM Cloud Object Storage management
 NetApp Clustered Data OnTAP management
 Demonstrated scripting ability
 Microsoft OneDrive Cloud integration
 Certifications in one or more of the required or preferred technical areas
 Experience with Linux, AIX or Windows Server integration
 Experience integrating with VMWare on Cisco UCS or other platforms
 Experience with automation/orchestration products
 Experience with vulnerability management processes

Activities/Proficiencies will include:

 Daily maintenance and operation of multiple Spectrum Protect instances in diverse geographic locations.
 Troubleshooting of client backup problems
 Registration and retirement of backup clients and their data
 Experience and understanding of change control
 Experience working with Kanban, Scrum or in an Agile environment
 Certifications in any of the above mentioned technical skills/proficiencies
